Race Coast is seeking a Regional Hospitality & Functions Operations Manager - KZN who will be responsible for leading Hospitality & Functions Operations across Hollywoodbets Greyville, Hollywoodbets Scottsville and Summerveld, driving the development, growth and successful delivery of race day hospitality, corporate functions, conferences, weddings and banqueting, VIP experiences and other hospitality events. The role leads the KZN H&F team and collaborates with the National Manager, Western Cape H&F team, Commercial and other key stakeholders to deliver regional and national H&F initiatives to a consistently high standard.

Location Hollywoodbets Greyville and Hollywoodbets Scottsville.

What You'll Do

KZN Hospitality & Functions Operations

· Lead H&F Operations across Hollywoodbets Greyville, Hollywoodbets Scottsville and Summerveld in alignment with national strategy, standards and priorities.

· Maintain oversight of the regional events and functions calendar, operational priorities, venue capacity and resource requirements.

· Maximise the potential of each KZN venue through effective utilisation, programming and hospitality offerings.

· Work collaboratively with the National Manager and Western Cape team to support a consistent and integrated national H&F function.

Event & Hospitality Development

· Identify and develop new events, hospitality experiences and function products suited to the KZN market and venues.

· Identify opportunities to grow and enhance existing events through additional experiences, packages and complementary activities.

· Contribute regional insight and ideas to the development of national H&F concepts and assess opportunities to introduce successful Western Cape concepts into KZN.

· Identify successful KZN concepts with potential for expansion across both regions.

Event & Hospitality Execution

· Take regional accountability for the successful planning and delivery of H&F events, functions and hospitality experiences.

· Ensure Coordinators and operational teams effectively translate approved concepts and confirmed business into detailed plans and successful execution.

· Maintain oversight of venue readiness, resourcing, service delivery and key operational dependencies, intervening where required.

· Ensure post-event reviews are undertaken, and learnings are applied and shared across regions.

Commercial & Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Work closely with Commercial to ensure H&F products are appropriately structured for sale and confirmed business is effectively transitioned into operational delivery.

· Collaborate with F&B, Marketing, Event Operations, Venue Operations and other stakeholders to ensure integrated planning and execution.

· Provide operational and venue input into product development, packages, client requirements and significant commercial opportunities.

· Maintain regular engagement with the National Manager on significant opportunities, initiatives, challenges and resource requirements.

Guest Experience & Innovation

· Drive creativity and innovation across KZN H&F, continually identifying opportunities to enhance events and hospitality experiences.

· Implement national hospitality and guest-experience standards consistently across the KZN venues.

· Monitor guest feedback and market trends and use these insights to improve existing and future offerings.

· Share successful initiatives and best practice across regions to support continuous development of the Race Coast H&F offering.

People Leadership & Regional Collaboration

· Lead, manage and develop the KZN H&F team, establishing clear responsibilities, priorities and performance expectations.

· Ensure teams are appropriately resourced and capable of delivering the regional events and functions programme.

· Develop team capability through coaching, training and exposure across venues and events.

· Collaborate with the Western Cape Regional Manager to share concepts, resources, suppliers, learnings and best practice and support national initiatives.

Performance, Standards & Continuous Improvement

· Monitor event and hospitality performance against agreed operational and commercial objectives and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

· Ensure appropriate operational standards, SOPs, controls and administrative requirements are maintained across KZN.

· Provide the National Manager with relevant performance updates, event outcomes, opportunities and matters requiring escalation.

· Drive continuous improvement through performance analysis, post-event learnings and corrective action.

What You’ll Need

· Standard 10/ Grade 12/ Matric Equivalent

· Computer literate

· Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Events Management, Business Management or related discipline.

· Five (5) to seven (7) years’ relevant hospitality, functions, events or venue operations experience with 3–4 years in a supervisory or management role (high-volume/events in racing, sports or entertainment preferred)
