Regional Operations Manager-Limpopo

Job Description

An exciting new position has become available in Legit, a division of Pepkor Speciality for Regional Operations Manager who will be based in Limpopo, Polokwane. The successful candidate should be based in Polokwane or within the Limpopo Province.

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible to ensure the effective, efficient and consistent implementation of the company's operational strategy in order to maximize the results in the stores and region in terms of - sales, shrinkage, costs, people and profit.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize the profitability of the region through the effective implementation of operational processes.
• Generate and exceed sales budget and growth.
• Optimize profit through the effective management of costs (to manage cost within budget).
• Ensuring administration compliance with company procedures and the financial controls in his/her Stores are consistently at the required levels.
• Ensure optimal staffing in the region.
• Effective implementation and monitoring of company risk and strategy.
• Oversee the effective stock management in all stores.
• Exceed customer expectations by effective execution of the strategy.
• Provide leadership and clear communication and management of job performance.
• Implement project plans to reach the given outcome.
• Ensure a climate of productivity and positive morale by living the Company values.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
• A retail/business/marketing management diploma would be a definite advantage.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Previous 5 years’ experience as a Store manager within a retail store, is essential.
• It is essential that you have managed your current store for a period of five years as a Store Manager or a cluster of stores within an area.
• A thorough and working knowledge of the day to day running of a store and experience with managing sales, shrinkage, cost management and people.
• Effective communication skills in English and a second language appropriate to the region.
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding leadership skills and experience with leading and motivating teams
• Must have a strong sense of integrity, and is honest and ethical in everything they do.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office packages (Excel, Word PowerPoint and Outlook) or Google workspace
• A valid Driver’s license is essential (this position requires extensive travelling).
• An inherent requirement for this position is travel and therefore the successful candidate will need to manage their ongoing travel requirements as and when the business requires.
