To grow the Masakhane General Trade and/or FSI market in the assigned region.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree
• 5+ years relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level in a FMCG
• 5+ years’ people management experience
• Business English: Fluent
• Computer literacy
• Own road worthy vehicle
• Travel off-site/overnight stay

Duties and Responsibilities

Achieve Volume and Value targets for the region monthly.

• Manage Truck utilisation for designated area while building a solid relationship with Distribution
• Manage the top 20 KVI products
• Manage the active buying customer store count
• Manage and improve the Sales Reps strike rate
• Review reps call cycle and confirm why call aren’t being completed

To lead and manage both the formal and informal markets of the greater clover universe.

• Develop Emerging Market in Emerging Market
• Deliver objectives and strategies to attain customer growth with Masakhane
• Analyse the market to target new untouched opportunities
• Build a strong and ongoing relationship with all Masakhane key customers
• Recruit major key businesses within the Masakhane model
• Work closely with marketing to develop what the market needs-POS, Plano-grams and Involvement on events
• Innovate new promotional idea to encourage repeated purchases
• Drive priority brands within your area of influence
• Monitoring progress on all newly recruited customers
• Develop plans for customer retention
• Recruit and train sales assistance
• Manage and execute front-line data according to roll out plan
• Execute and manage fridge placement
• manage sales assistance until routes are fully developed

Manage and support Masakhane staff

• Trade visits to assist with daily challenges
• Coaching of Sales Managers and direct reports
• Pricing management in area of management
• Assist in planning and execution of strategy

Strategy and Process management

• Develop and implement overall company strategy in the KZN area
• Develop relationships with internal and external customers.
