We are expanding our cluster-based model and are seeking a Registered Nurse with strong primary healthcare experience to join our clinical leadership team.

Role Overview

The Registered Nurse will serve as a Cluster Clinical Lead, providing clinical oversight, supervision, and structured patient support across multiple GP practice sites.

The role requires a practitioner who is confident in primary healthcare, experienced in structured patient education and follow-up, and capable of supervising enrolled nurses within clearly defined clinical protocols.

This Position Combines

• Direct patient support (PSP activities)
• Clinical supervision

• Operational coordination

Key Responsibilities

• Provide structured patient support and health education within GP practices
• Apply and oversee adherence to primary healthcare treatment guidelines
• Supervise enrolled nurses and ensure scope-of-practice compliance
• Monitor and review clinical documentation accuracy on ClinchPro
• Support chronic disease management and follow-up processes
• Ensure correct application of tariff codes within scope of practice
• Understand and oversee medical aid processes, billing, and claims workflows
• Identify and address documentation or protocol gaps
• Conduct scheduled site visits within assigned cluster
• Maintain clinical governance and audit readiness

Requirements

• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse
• Strong background in Primary Health Care
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in chronic disease management
• Ability to provide structured health advice and patient coaching
• Good understanding of treatment guidelines and both public and private healthcare workflows
• Experience within GP or clinic environments
• Familiarity with medical aid billing processes and claims systems
• Experience with selective billing tools and software, mainly MEDIS and NetPractice
• Working knowledge of treatment guidelines and PHC protocols
• Experience supervising enrolled nurses preferred
• Strong clinical documentation skills
• Comfortable working independently within structured systems
• Proficient with digital platforms and web-based systems
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
