Mommy Bear Woman & Baby Clinic is a trusted maternal and infant health centre, dedicated to providing compassionate care for mothers and babies. Guided by our motto “Born in grace, cradled in care”, we offer antenatal, postnatal, immunisation, and wellness services in a supportive environment.
Role Overview
We are seeking a committed Sessional Midwife to join our team. This role involves providing professional midwifery services on a sessional basis, including antenatal and postnatal consultations, clinic duties, and birth attendance.
Key Responsibilities
- Antenatal & postnatal care: Conduct consultations, monitor maternal and infant health, and provide patient education.
- Birth attendance: Act as primary or second midwife during births, ensuring safe, professional care.
- Clinic duties: Immunisations, growth monitoring, and wellness checks.
- Patient education: Support breastfeeding, newborn care, and maternal health guidance.
- Clinical documentation: Maintain accurate, medico‑legal patient records.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with enrolled nurses and clinic staff.
Requirements
- Valid South African Nursing Council (SANC) registration as a Midwife.
- Proven experience in maternal and infant health care.
- EPI-trained
- Family Planning trained
- Computer literate
- Ability to work sessionally and flexibly, including availability on call for births 24/7.
- Compassionate, patient‑centred approach.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Pay: R140,00 - R160,00 per hour
Work Location: In person
