Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse role based in the City of Cape Town. The Registered Nurse will provide direct nursing care to clients in addiction treatment, including assessment, monitoring of physical and mental health status, medication administration, and management of withdrawal and related symptoms under clinical protocols. The role involves collaborating closely with physicians, addiction counselors, and other multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. The nurse will support clients through psychoeducation on health, recovery, and lifestyle changes, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment. Additional responsibilities include participation in case reviews, adherence to ethical and regulatory standards, and involvement in continuous quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) and eligibility to practice in South Africa.
• Experience in addiction treatment, mental health, or related clinical settings; exposure to 12 Step recovery or similar programs is highly beneficial.
