Registerred Nurse ICU EXP/Trained

We are looking for an ICU Experience or Trained Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment and wants to be part of a team that delivers exceptional critical care. To be placed at various hospitals across the Gauteng region.

Critical Outputs

• Providing quality basic and specialized nursing care
• Continual communication with the patient and family with regards to the patient's condition
• Administering of medication in accordance to ethical, legal framework
• Review and comply with internal policies and protocols
• Ensuring quality management systems and initiatives are conducted according to the unit specification
• Advocate the patient by motivating acuity to the case management and notify the doctor of any limitations
• Interacting and communicating with a multi-disciplinary team
• Provide training and development to ensure personal and professional growth
• Ensure the ICU team works according to the scope of practice in order to ensure the correct skills mix is utilize

Job Requirements

• General Nursing Degree / Diploma
• Registration with SANC
• ICU qualification/Critical Care course or 2-3 years ICU experience
• Relevant experience and technical skill to meet the critical outputs
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
• Computer proficiency would be an advantage
• Cardio-thoracic experience would be an advantage
• Strong customer orientation, team player, energetic, resilient and well organized.
• Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment
• Strong inter-personal skills required
