Architectural Draftsperson
Fully Remote | South Africa | New Zealand Residential Projects
We are looking for an experienced Architectural Draftsperson based in South Africa to support residential renovation and construction projects.
The role involves turning concept designs into accurate, detailed and council consent-ready drawing packages for masonry/timber framed homes, renovations, alterations and extensions.
Requirements
- At least five years of architectural drafting experience.
- Experience producing council consent-ready drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Own computer and reliable internet.
- Willingness to learn New Zealand building standards and council consent requirements.
- Experience with residential renovations and extensions.
- Have to work in Revit.
Our team is originally from South Africa. You will work with guidance from a registered South African architect. We understand the differences between the South African and New Zealand construction industries and will support you while you learn the relevant New Zealand standards and processes.
Advantageous Skills
- Twinmotion and 3D rendering.
- Creating client-facing design presentations.
- Working from Matterport scans to model existing homes.
- Strong residential and timber-construction experience.
