Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Remuneration, Benefits & Employment Equity Analyst to join our Human Capital team.

This role plays a key part in supporting the Human Capital Executive through high-quality reporting, analysis, and governance across remuneration, benefits, and employment equity practices. While not accountable for strategy ownership, this role provides the insight, data, and coordination that enable informed decision-making at Executive level.

Your impact

You will contribute to the effectiveness of our reward and compliance practices by:

  • Supporting remuneration processes through benchmarking, job evaluation inputs, and salary review analytics
  • Producing accurate, insight-driven reporting to inform decision-making across the business
  • Coordinating benefits administration oversight through engagement with brokers and service providers
  • Ensuring strong data integrity, compliance, and governance across reward and employment equity processes
  • Enabling the Human Capital Executive with clear, decision-ready reporting and analysis

What you’ll be responsible for

Remuneration & Reward

  • Conduct benchmarking and market analysis (including RemChannel)
  • Support job evaluation processes and grading consistency
  • Prepare salary review models, data analysis, and reporting
  • Produce remuneration insights to support business decisions

Benefits

  • Liaise with brokers and third-party providers on medical aid, pension, and risk benefits
  • Monitor benefit utilisation, cost trends, and service delivery
  • Support benefit reviews, renewals, and employee queries
  • Work closely with the Benefits Administrator to ensure smooth operational delivery

Employment Equity & Compliance

  • Support EE reporting, submissions, and compliance processes
  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity for statutory reporting
  • Assist with tracking EE plans and progress against targets
  • Contribute to audit and governance requirements

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare executive-level reports and dashboards across remuneration, benefits, and EE
  • Analyse trends and translate data into actionable insights
  • Support board, committee, and audit reporting requirements

Governance & Process Support

  • Maintain and update reward-related policies and procedures
  • Support compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting efficiency

What you’ll bring

  • A relevant degree (BCom HR, Finance, or similar)
  • 3–5 years’ experience in remuneration, rewards, or people analytics
  • Strong experience in:
    • Benchmarking (RemChannel preferred)
      • Data analysis and reporting
      • Excel (advanced level)
  • Exposure to benefits administration and working with external providers
  • Understanding of employment equity and compliance requirements (advantageous)
  • Strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy and integrity
  • The ability to translate complex data into clear, practical insights
