Job Advert Summary

To repair and service machines in the workshop. This role provides an excellent starting point individuals wanting to gain familiarity with repair and maintenance processes and best practices of heavy equipment machinery while working directly under the supervision of more experienced professionals.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matriculation certificate (certified)

Technical qualification (N2) would be beneficial

Workshop exposure would be an added advantage.

Some exposure and/or experience with earthmoving machines

Duties and Responsibilities

Assisting the mechanics with repairing and servicing the machines.

Providing direct or indirect support to field service and workshop mechanics.

Maintain workspaces and promote shop safety by cleaning work areas and removing hazardous materials such as oil, gasoline, or other fluids.

Conduct periodic checks of equipment and work areas to ensure that they are free of clutter and dangerous materials like broken glass.

Strip and re-assemble machines

Need to ensure good housekeeping

Take responsibility for the tools in the workshop

Other unspecified duties as and when required.
