Reporting & Analytics Analyst

We're seeking someone to build and run the reports and analysis that the client and the operating team rely on. To extract, transform and present data accurately, and you turn questions into clear views.

Two positions are available. The role suits an experienced reporting analyst who can present analysis to non-technical audiences.

About the Service

A leading South African financial institution is mobilising a managed service to run its contingent workforce process end to end. The service covers the full contractor lifecycle: requisitions, supplier routing, onboarding, contractor care, renewals, timesheets and deliverables, billing control and exits. It operates for a large population of contractors and consultants placed by a panel of more than 200 recruitment suppliers.

The service is delivered by a neutral managed service provider, on the client's systems and under the client's policies. The client keeps every decision that matters: policy, budget, rates, selection, payment and settlement. The provider administers, controls, reports and improves, and treats every supplier equally.

Key Responsibilities

Report production

• Produce recurring reports and dashboards to the agreed definitions and schedule.
• Refresh and validate data before publication.

Analysis* Carry out ad hoc analysis for the operations and leadership teams.

• Document sources, logic and definitions.

Quality* Reconcile reports to source and flag data issues to the data-quality specialist.

What success looks like

• Recurring reports delivered on time and to definition.
• Numbers reconciled to source before publication.
• Ad hoc questions answered with clear, documented analysis.

Boundaries of the role

Independence is central to this service. This role does not:

• decide what a report concludes for the client or influence supplier or candidate outcomes through data.
• override, or act in place of, a client decision on policy, budget, rates, selection, payment, settlement or risk acceptance.
• favour or disadvantage any supplier or candidate.
• influence supplier allocation, candidate screening or progression, rate outcomes, commercial disputes or supplier standing. This role sits in a ring-fenced specialist team.

You must declare any current or recent relationship with the client institution or with any supplier on its panel.

Requirements

Qualifications* Degree or diploma in statistics, information systems, business or a related field.

Experience* At least 7 years in reporting, analytics or BI roles.

• Experience with business intelligence tools and with SQL or a data warehouse.
• Experience presenting analysis to non-technical audiences.

Skills and knowledge* Data extraction and transformation.

• Dashboard design.

Systems and tools* Business intelligence tools, SQL, a data warehouse or comparable tools, and advanced Excel.

Personal attributes* Careful and self-checking.
