Research Supervisor- BSc IT Honours and other Postgraduate Programmes

Richfield is seeking a proactive, experienced, and detail-oriented Research Supervisor to provide academic supervision and mentorship to BSc IT Honours postgraduate students throughout their research journey. The successful candidate will play a key role in guiding students from research proposal development to dissertation completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide students in selecting and developing relevant, feasible, and academically sound research topics.
• Support students in formulating research objectives, preparing research proposals, and planning their research projects.
• Provide academic guidance and constructive feedback on research proposals and dissertation chapters.
• Conduct scheduled supervision meetings and monitor student progress throughout the research process.
• Deliver timely, detailed, and constructive feedback on submitted work.
• Advise students on research-related challenges and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Evaluate dissertation readiness prior to examination submission.
• Support students in addressing examiner feedback and implementing post-examination corrections and recommendations.
• Moderate completed dissertations in accordance with institutional quality assurance requirements.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Information Technology or a Doctoral qualification in a related field.
• Proven research and academic writing experience.
• Previous postgraduate research supervision experience will be advantageous.
• Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to provide timely feedback and effectively manage supervision responsibilities.
