Location City of Ekurhuleni Remuneration R 556 092 to R 762 876 - Basic salary per annum (plus benefits) Assignment Type Permanent Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Business Degree or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
• 1 - 3 years' experience in a research environment
• Proven track record in research and analysis

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide an effective research and advisory service to allocated both MMC and Chairpersons as well as members of Caucus in general
• Strategic capability and leadership to enhance Departmental accountability and Oversight Committee functions of oversight and scrutiny
• Conduct research to develop and implement innovative ideas and solutions that add value to the organisation
• Research, benchmark, analyse and make recommendations on best practices, enabling continuous improvement and Departmental accountability
• Develop, monitor and report on research benchmarks for Local Government
• Constantly monitor the integrity and quality of data to ensure that the correct information is fed back to business and practice owners
• Ensure that completed work adhere to governance and legislative requirements
• Adhere to specified standards, policies and SOPs to prevent and reduce wastage on financial resources and escalate associated risk
• Provide authoritative, specialist expertise and advice to internal and external customers
