A Lodge Reservationist is responsible for managing guest bookings and ensuring a smooth reservation process. They assist guests with inquiries, confirm room availability, process reservations, and provide information about lodge facilities, services, and local attractions. A lodge reservationist plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service by maintaining accurate booking records, handling cancellations or changes, and ensuring guests have a pleasant experience from the moment they make their reservation until their arrival.

Job Requirements For Reservations

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in reservations within a lodge, hotel, or hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of lodge operations and the tourism industry.
• Experience using reservations or property management systems is required – Opera
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage guest enquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Confident in handling bookings, amendments, payments, and guest correspondence.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines.
• Customer‑centric approach with a warm, service‑driven mindset.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Front Office, Operations, Guides, and Management.
• Professional telephone and email etiquette.
• Must be willing to live on-site and adapt to a lodge environment.
• Own transport (not required but advantage)
• Perfect English required
• French speaking welcome

Package

• R14 000 per month (DOE)
• Live‑in accommodation provided
• Housing meals and uniform included
