RESTAURANT ASSISTANT MANAGER

THE ROLE

As our Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the smooth running of the store. Your responsibilities will include:

· Assisting the GM with daily managerial and operational duties

· Managing, supporting and motivating staff

· Conducting and overseeing daily/weekly stock takes

· Controlling stock levels and minimising wastage

· Monitoring staff performance and maintaining company standards

· Assisting with staff training

· Handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally

· Ensuring excellent customer service at all times

· Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards

· Assisting with opening and closing procedures

· Monitoring daily operations and identifying areas for improvement

· Assisting with ordering and stock requirements

· Supporting the GM with administration and reporting

· Taking responsibility and making decisions when required

· Ensuring company procedures and SOPs are consistently followed

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The successful candidate must have:

· Previous restaurant/hospitality management or supervisory experience

· Excellent communication and people-management skills

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

· The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

· A hands-on approach and willingness to lead from the front

· The ability to manage and motivate a team

· A strong understanding of stock control

· Professionalism, reliability and a positive attitude

· Must be willing to work weekends and public holidays

· Own reliable transport
