Restaurant Food Safety Manager

The Restaurant Food Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving food safety, cleanliness and hygiene standards across all restaurant locations. The role ensures full compliance with local, national, and international food safety regulations (including HACCP, ISO 22000, and applicable health codes), protects customers and the brand from food safety risks, and embeds a culture of food safety across operations. Working within the Restaurant Excellence function, the manager leads audits and inspections, drives corrective actions, partners with operations and store teams to sustain standards, and reports on food safety performance to senior leadership.

Responsibilities :

• Develop, maintain, and enforce food safety policies, standards, and HACCP-based procedures across all restaurant locations.
• Plan and oversee food safety audits and inspections; document findings and drive timely corrective and preventive actions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance with health codes, ISO 22000, and licensing requirements.
• Design and deliver food safety, cleanliness and hygiene training programmes in partnership with Learning & Development.
• Investigate food safety incidents, complaints, and outbreaks; lead root-cause analysis and manage recalls where required.
• Partner with Operations and Store Managers to embed food safety practices and drive a strong food safety culture.
• Manage relationships with regulators, suppliers, and third-party auditors; oversee supplier food safety approval.
• Track, analyse, and report food safety KPIs and performance dashboards to senior leadership.
• Lead internal and external auditors to deliver results.

Requirements :

• 5+ years' experience in food safety, quality assurance, or environmental health, preferably in a multi-site
• restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Proven experience developing and implementing HACCP-based food safety management systems.
• Experience conducting food safety audits, inspections, and managing corrective action programmes.
• Track record of leading food safety incidents and outbreak investigations.
• Experience delivering food safety training and building food safety culture across teams.
• Degree : Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field.
• Own vehicle and a valid driver's license.
• Willing to travel to various sites as part of the role.
