Restaurant General Manager

Ou Meul Bakery & Café is is looking for an experienced General Manager to take full ownership of the Robertson Branch.

About The Role

As General Manager, you'll carry full accountability for the Robertson store - leading both front-of-house and back-of-house (bakery/kitchen) teams, driving sales and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Full P&L accountability for the store
• Lead and align the Restaurant Manager and BOH/Bakery Manager and their teams
• Set sales targets and drive overall store performance
• Oversee stock control, ordering and supplier relationships store-wide
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and labour regulations
• Manage recruitment, training and development of all store staff
• Represent Ou Meul in the Robertson community, building relationships and driving footfall
• Report store performance to Head Office / the Ops team

Requirements

• Proven experience as a General Manager or senior manager in retail/hospitality/QSR
• Strong financial acumen — budgeting, P&L, cost control
• Excellent leadership skills across multi-department teams
• Experience opening or scaling a new store advantageous
• Matric plus a relevant management qualification advantageous
• Own transport and valid driver's license
• Available for retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
