Career Growth Hospitality Recruitment is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join a prestigious luxury hospitality property in the Cape Winelands.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional with a strong background in fine dining or luxury hotel restaurants. You will lead the restaurant team, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and oversee the daily operation of a high-end dining venue while maintaining the highest standards of service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest service at all times
  • Supervise and support the restaurant team to deliver outstanding dining experiences
  • Conduct daily team briefings, ensuring staff are informed of guest movements, special requests and dietary requirements
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures and ensure operational standards are consistently maintained
  • Manage restaurant reservations and table allocations to maximise guest satisfaction
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and Hotel Management to ensure menus, wine lists and daily operations run seamlessly
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members through regular training and performance management
  • Monitor staffing levels, attendance and shift scheduling
  • Oversee stock counts, inventory control and end-of-day cash-up procedures
  • Manage restaurant financial administration, including POS transactions, guest accounts and monthly expenditure reporting
  • Assist with planning special events, private dining experiences and conference functions
  • Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' supervisory or management experience within a fine dining restaurant, luxury hotel or hospitality environment
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards
  • Experience using Restaurant POS systems
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Outstanding guest relations and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • Matric certificate
  • Wine qualification or certificate would be advantageous
