About Us

RGB Capital Group owns and operates a growing portfolio of leading restaurant brands. We are looking for a highly organised, analytical and detail-oriented Operations Cost Controller to join our support office team.

This role is ideal for someone with strong restaurant cost control experience who enjoys working with data, improving systems and supporting operational excellence across multiple stores.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse food cost, beverage cost and packaging cost across all stores.
• Investigate variances and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
• Analyse stock take results and follow up on significant variances.
• Monitor theoretical versus actual cost of sales.
• Review purchasing trends and identify pricing or usage anomalies.
• Ensure accurate recipe costing and menu costings.
• Audit manufacturing and production records.
• Assist stores with stock management and inventory controls.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cost control reports.
• Support General Managers with cost-saving initiatives and operational improvements.
• Conduct store audits and provide recommendations to improve controls.
• Work closely with Operations, Finance and Store Management teams.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis.

Minimum Requirements

• 3–5 years' experience in a Cost Controller or Food Cost Controller role.
• Restaurant, hospitality or food service experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and stock control.
• Experience analysing Cost of Sales (COS).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent numerical and analytical ability.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between stores.

Advantageous

• Experience with restaurant POS systems (such as Munch, Micros or similar).
• Experience with accounting systems such as Pastel.
• Multi-site restaurant experience.
