Retail & Online Fulfilment Assistant - LGBTQi+ Focused Store

Purpose of the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Retail & Online Fulfilment Assistant to join our team. The primary purpose of this role is to deliver an exceptional shopping experience through effective stock replenishment, merchandising, store upkeep, online fulfilment and efficient transaction processing at till points.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service
• Deliver excellent service to ensure a great customer shopping experience.
• Assist customers in locating products and responding to queries or complaints with professionalism.
• Cashier Duties
• Process cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Handle customer refunds and balance tills.
• Report discrepancies or till-related issues to management.
• Merchandising & Housekeeping
• Ensure stock is correctly priced, tagged, and attractively displayed.
• Maintain product availability on the sales floor.
• Keep the store clean, tidy, and in line with brand standards.
• Stay informed about current promotions and assist in their execution.
• Online Fulfilment
• Support the processing of online sales and customer orders.
• Assist with product replenishment, packaging, shipments, online product listings and customer follow-ups.
• Risk & Loss Prevention
• Ensure all products are tagged per company policy.
• Participate in regular stock counts.
• Remain vigilant and report any suspicious or fraudulent activity to management.
• Events & Community Engagement
• Assist with pop-up stores, Pride festivals, university activations and community events.
• Represent the organization professionally while promoting our mission and supporting local LGBTQIA+ creators.
• Be available and willing to travel locally

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills (English fluency essential; additional languages are a plus)
• High energy levels and a passion for performance
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and pay close attention to detail
• Flexibility with tasks and working hours
• Fast learner who is computer literate and comfortable with online marketplaces
• Previous retail experience
• Comfort and confidence in serving diverse communities, particularly the LGBTQi+ community
