Overview

We are seeking for motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Agents to join a dynamic retail team in Benoni. Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Assist customers with product selection based on their needs and preferences
• Provide accurate information about products, pricing, promotions, and store policies
• Maintain strong product knowledge to confidently answer customer questions
• Support the sales process by recommending relevant products and upselling where appropriate
• Process customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale system
• Handle customer queries and resolve basic concerns promptly and professionally
• Restock shelves and ensure merchandise is neatly displayed at all times
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the relevant supervisor
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock
• Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing
• Support the team in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
• Follow company procedures relating to cash handling, security, and customer service
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements

Required

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate
• Interest in retail, sales, and customer service
• Good verbal communication skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors
• Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and stock counts
• Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays when required
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Customer-focused approach with a willingness to assist people

Nice to Have

• Previous exposure to retail, customer service, or sales through school projects, temporary work, or informal experience
• Basic understanding of point-of-sale systems
• Additional local language skills
