Job description

As a Sales Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of the customer experience: providing personalised, friendly service to every visitor, maintaining an impeccably clean and welcoming space and assisting with merchandising and inventory. You'll work closely with the Director and play an essential role in the daily running of the boutique.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

Welcome and assist customers with a friendly, respectful, and professional attitude
Provide product knowledge and styling advice based on customer needs
Confidently process sales using our POS system and handle transactions accurately

Cleaning & Organisation

Ensure the boutique is always spotless and beautifully presented, including fitting rooms, product displays, counters, and floors
Manage daily cleaning routines (dusting, vacuuming, steaming clothing, etc.)
Keep stock areas tidy and systemised for easy access and restocking
Watering and caring for plants (lifting the pots to take them outside)

Merchandising & Inventory

Restock products and rotate stock as needed to keep displays fresh and appealing
Support in receiving deliveries, quality control, tagging, and preparing/steaming stock for the shop floor
Monitor stock levels and flag slow or fast-moving items
Assisting in stock takes

Social Media

Assist in social media planning
Create and post content to our Instagram and Facebook page

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience working in a clothing retail environment
Own transport
Friendly, respectful, and gentle nature
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
An interest in fashion
High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
Able to lift 10kgs
Comfortable working independently
Flexibility to work weekends and holiday seasons
Social media experience would be a plus
