Job description
Miss Lyn is looking for a reliable, energetic and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our team at our Drakenstein Sentrum store in Paarl.
We are a proudly South African manufacturer and retailer of quality bed linen, towels and homeware. We need someone who enjoys working with customers, takes pride in keeping a store looking exceptional and understands that reliability is non-negotiable.
Key responsibilities:
- Welcoming and assisting customers
- Advising customers on our products
- Processing sales and operating the point-of-sale system
- Receiving, checking and merchandising stock
- Maintaining attractive product displays
- Keeping the store neat, organised and fully stocked
- Assisting with stock counts and general store duties
- Working toward store sales targets
- Following company procedures and maintaining high standards of customer service
Minimum requirements:
- Previous retail or customer-service experience
- Fluent in both Afrikaans and English
- Reliable transport to and from Drakenstein Sentrum
- Reside in Paarl, Wellington, Simondium or the immediate surrounding area
- Available to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Comfortable using a computer and point-of-sale system
- Well presented, punctual and dependable
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Contactable employment references
- Available to start as soon as possible
Homeware, linen or décor retail experience will be an advantage.
