Retail Sales Associate – Golf and Apparel

Job Summary

Stick Golf is a premium golf and apparel store in Paarl and we are looking for a confident, sales-driven retail consultant to join our team.This is not a casual shop assistant role.We are looking for someone who can sell, style customers, build complete purchases, recommend premium products with confidence, and create a polished retail experience.

Premium retail experience, strong people skills, presentable, and a natural sales instinct are essential.

We will only consider candidates with experience in high-end retail, fashion, lifestyle, sport, and knows how to engage customers without waiting for them to ask for help.

Stick Golf is a modern golf retail, fitting and lifestyle destination based in Paarl.Our store is premium, curated and personal. The shop focuses on quality apparel, accessories, bags, balls, equipment and selected golf products that suit the modern golfer.Our retail team must understand that every customer interaction matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage customers confidently on the shop floor
• Sell premium apparel, accessories, bags, balls and selected golf products
• Build full purchases through thoughtful recommendations, not single-item selling
• Help customers choose apparel based on fit, style, use and personal preference
• Upsell and cross-sell confidently while keeping the experience relaxed and premium
• Learn the brands, products and seasonal collections in store
• Maintain a polished, well-presented retail floor at all times
• Assist with merchandising, stock receiving and product displays
• Support product launches, in-store events and promotional campaigns
• Identify buying signals and help turn browsers into paying customers
• Direct technical club-fitting or equipment questions to the correct team member
