Retail Sales Consultant

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and customer-focused Retail Sales Consultant to join our growing sales team.

As a Retail Sales Consultant, you will engage directly with customers in a retail environment, understand their needs, introduce them to suitable products and services, and assist them in making informed purchasing decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products or services.
• Explain product features, benefits, pricing, and promotions to customers.
• Build positive relationships with customers.
• Assist customers throughout the purchasing process.
• Generate sales and work towards achieving daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
• Upsell and cross-sell relevant products or services where appropriate.
• Handle customer questions and objections professionally.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Keep the sales area neat, organised, and professionally presented.
• Stay up to date with product knowledge, promotions, and company offerings.
• Capture and maintain accurate customer and sales information where required.
• Work closely with the Sales Team Leader and colleagues to achieve team targets.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
• Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience is advantageous but not required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Friendly and confident when interacting with customers.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop sales skills.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Target-driven and motivated by earning commission.
• Professional appearance and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
