Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide helpful, professional assistance throughout their shopping experience
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products or services
- Support sales efforts by promoting products, answering questions, and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions
- Process transactions accurately and responsibly where required
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organising incoming stock
- Keep the store clean, tidy, and visually appealing at all times
- Help set up promotional displays and in-store marketing materials
- Respond to customer concerns in a calm, courteous, and solution-focused manner
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet store targets and daily operational goals
- Follow company procedures for health, safety, security, and customer service
Requirements
- Must have Grade 12 (Matric Certificate)
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, sales, or a similar customer-facing role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly, professional, and approachable manner
- Ability to work well in a team and support shared goals
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods and assist with light stock handling
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering consistent service
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays if needed
