Retail Store Manager

An exciting and challenging opportunity has become available for an Retail Store Manager. The successful individual will report to Area Sales Manager.

• Supervise, train and assist employees Retail Store Assistant in customer service, store maintenance and product promotions.
• Develop and maintain a schedule for employees and promotions centered on holiday sales and other cycles.
• Seek ways to better promote the store, the product line and service within the store.
• Maintain proper inventory levels, ensure stocking, implement purchasing plans and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure maximum efficiency in meeting sales goals.
• Implement cross-training of employees and Assistant Managers to maintain productivity at all times.
• Manage all controllable costs with a view to maintaining profitability.
• Ensure the store remains clean and presentable at all times.
• Hire and train as needed to ensure adequate personnel is on hand to provide outstanding customer service.
• Welcoming and directing customers as they enter the store
• Advising and assisting customers in finding products that fit their needs
• Providing information about products, including features, benefits, and pricing
• Handling transactions by operating cash registers and processing card payments
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment
• Handling customer complaints and providing solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
• Assisting with inventory management, including receiving and processing new stock
• Implementing promotions and visual merchandising according to company standards
• Helping to maximize sales through excellent customer service and product knowledge
• Assisting with store security measures to prevent theft
