Revenue Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant: Expense Accounting to join the R2R Expense Accounting team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong corporate accounting experience who is confident working with complex reconciliations, financial reporting, month-end close activities, stakeholder queries and process improvements within a multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse complex financial information and prepare accurate financial reports.
• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations within approved thresholds.
• Perform complex reconciliations, investigate variances and implement corrective actions.
• Support period-end financial close and preparation of financial statement information.
• Resolve accounting queries and provide high-quality support to internal business partners.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and quality.
• Prepare reports and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
• Develop and maintain clear desktop procedures and process documentation.
• Support SOX control compliance and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with finance and non-finance stakeholders across the organisation.
• Provide analytical support for ad-hoc reporting, projects and business requirements

Requirements:

• B.Com or equivalent qualification.
• 3–5 years' corporate accounting experience.
• Completed SAICA articles would be advantageous.
• Experience within E-Commerce or FinTech is preferred.
• Multinational and Shared Services experience would be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting and month-end close.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and drive process improvements.
