Level: Associate
Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office
Employment Type: Permanent / Full-Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Analyst to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing client engagements from contract approval through billing, ensuring billing requirements are met, invoices are issued accurately and on schedule, and collaborating closely with Sales, Client Services, Finance, and Project Management teams to support efficient and accurate revenue operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review executed client contracts to ensure billing terms, pricing, payment schedules, and commercial details are complete and accurate.
- Validate contract information and approve engagements for billing in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
- Set up new projects and billing arrangements within the financial system based on contractual requirements.
- Generate, review, and process client invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Resolve billing discrepancies by collaborating with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Project Managers, and Finance.
- Monitor billing status and follow up on outstanding approvals to prevent delays in revenue recognition.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, and revenue recognition guidelines.
- Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including billing reconciliations and revenue reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and enhance operational efficiency through standardization and automation.
Requirements:
- Experience in billing, revenue operations, contract administration, or finance.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret commercial contracts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Salesforce and NetSuite
- Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and professional services billing is an advantage.
