We are looking for passionate and driven graduate to join our 2027 Human Resource Graduate Programme. This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience, contribute to meaningful projects, and grow within a global leader in the mining and metals industry.

We welcome applications from individuals who have graduated in 2025, 2026 or will graduate by March 2027.

About the program

Our Graduate Program offer you the chance to help shape Rio Tinto from within. The Graduate Program extends over two years, focusing on developing both foundational and future-focused skill.

Eligibility:

• Academic Qualifications: A completed or currently pursuing Bachelor's degree and/or higher qualification in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology.
• Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
• Work Experience: No prior work experience required.
• Graduate Programme Status: Must not be currently enrolled in or have previously participated in a graduate programme.
• Preference will be given to applicants who are residents of KwaZulu-Natal.

• Curriculum Vitae
• A complete academic record, starting from first year of study.
• A certified copy of a South African Identity Document.
• A certified copy of a valid South African Driver’s Licence.
• Certified copies of all relevant qualifications.
• Attach certified Proof of Residence / Domicile Address
• Please provide; clear and visible copies of your issued certificates and licence must be attached with your application, failure to do so will result in your application being unsuccessful and an automatic regret of your application.

Where you’ll be working

Richards Bay Minerals (RBM) is a world leader in heavy mineral sands extraction and refining and is South Africa’s largest mineral sands producer. RBM produces predominantly ilmenite, rutile and zircon – materials used in everything from paint to smartphones to sunscreen.
