Risk and Security Officer (Montague Gardens DC)

Introduction

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Risk and Security officer for our Montague Gardens Distribution Centre. This role reports into the Finance and Risk Manager.

Job Description

Job Purpose:

The main purpose of the role is to ensure that H&S requirements are met within the distribution Centre and to work closely with the security and facilities manager in overseeing risk and loss in the distribution center.

Job Objectives:

• Manage security service level agreement
• Risk related investigations
• Developing and implementing security and safety programs
• Minimize financial loss related to theft, vandalism, accidents and injuries
• Develop ways for detecting safety issues and security violations
• Manage loss prevention process
• Develop and implement and monitor H&S plan, processes and procedures and administration in accordance with the Occupational Health &Safety Act, relevant by laws and SANS standards
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of results and corrective actions taken
• Conducting quarterly risk and assessments

Minimum Requirements

Job Related Knowledge:

• Sound understanding of OHSA
• Knowledge of fire prevention systems

Job Related Skills:

• Ability to communicate orally and written effectively
• Ability to prioritise numerous tasks and unexpected situations
• Pro efficient computer use and Microsoft office

Job Experience:

• Minimum 3 years safety and risk management experience
• Ability to work flexible shifts 24/hr environment
• Security and CCTV management knowledge
• H&s management distribution environment

Education:

• Diploma in Occupational health & safety
• Matric
