RN – ICU - Port Elizabeth

Qualification & Experience;

• Degree/Diploma in Nursing Science
• Registered with the Nursing Council (SANC)
• Prior experience in an Orthopaedic Unit will be an advantage
• Private hospital experience would be added advantage
• Willingness to work shifts
• Good communication skills

Key Areas;

• Practice patient care according to the Scope of Practice.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care
• Promote and maintain good public relations with patients, relatives and visitors
• Execute all procedures according to hospital standards
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records
• Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patient’s conditions
• Administer and store medication in accordance with the hospital policy
• Effective risk prevention and management
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Maintain professional conduct and standards at all times in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
• Ensure all stock is well controlled and managed, charged and credited appropriately
• Carry out all departmental duties as assigned by supervisors

Pay: R1,00 - R30 000,00 per month
