Rope Access Supervisor (Level 3)

Job Summary
Agility Projects & Consulting (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Rope Access Supervisor (Level 3) to lead rope access teams on a major industrial maintenance and cleaning project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising rope access operations, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety requirements, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid IRATA Level 3 Certificate (or equivalent recognised rope access qualification)
- Valid Working at Heights Certificate
- Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness for Working at Heights
- Minimum 5 years’ industrial rope access experience
- Experience supervising rope access teams
- Experience in industrial maintenance, shutdowns, heavy industry, mining, petrochemical or power generation environments
- Good knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and safe work procedures
- Ability to develop and implement rescue plans
- Valid South African ID
- Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all rope access activities.
- Lead and coordinate rope access personnel.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and pre-task risk assessments.
- Inspect rope access equipment before use.
- Implement emergency rescue procedures.
- Maintain accurate site documentation and inspection records.
- Report daily progress to site management.
Preferred Experience
Applicants with experience in the following environments will have an added advantage:
- Industrial shutdowns
- Heavy industrial cleaning
- Boiler and turbine maintenance
- Confined space operations
- High-pressure cleaning
- Industrial maintenance projects
