Rope Access Supervisor (Level 3)

WPM Consulting (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Rope Access Supervisor (Level 3) to join our team. The successful candidate will supervise rope access operations, ensure compliance with all safety standards, and lead teams performing work at height across various industrial and commercial sites.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid IRATA Level 3 or SAQA-recognised Level 3 Rope Access Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years' proven experience in rope access operations, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Medically fit to work at heights.
• Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and work-at-height requirements.
• Excellent leadership, planning and communication skills.
• Ability to compile reports, conduct risk assessments and supervise rope access teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all rope access activities safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre-task risk assessments and toolbox talks.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, safe work procedures and statutory requirements.
• Inspect rope access equipment and maintain inspection records.
• Verify that all rope access technicians are competent and correctly equipped.
• Coordinate emergency rescue procedures.
• Complete daily reports, permits and inspection documentation.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Liaise with clients, site management and project teams.
