Rope Access Technician (Level 3)
Job Summary
Agility Projects & Consulting (Pty) Ltd is inviting applications from suitably qualified Rope Access Technicians (Level 3) to join our industrial maintenance and cleaning team. The successful candidate will perform specialised rope access work while ensuring compliance with all health, safety and quality requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid IRATA Level 3 Certificate (or equivalent recognised rope access qualification)
- Valid Working at Heights Certificate
- Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness
- Minimum 3 years’ industrial rope access experience
- Experience in industrial maintenance, shutdowns, mining, petrochemical or power generation environments
- Knowledge of safe work procedures and risk assessments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid South African ID
- Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rope access work in accordance with approved procedures.
- Carry out industrial cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Install, inspect and dismantle rope access systems.
- Inspect and maintain rope access equipment.
- Comply with all health, safety and environmental requirements.
- Participate in toolbox talks and risk assessments.
- Report unsafe conditions and incidents immediately.
Preferred Experience
Applicants with experience in the following will have an added advantage:
- Industrial shutdowns
- Boiler and turbine maintenance
- Heavy industrial cleaning
- Confined space operations
- High-pressure water cleaning
- Industrial maintenance projects
