Rope Access Technician (Level 3)

WPM Consulting (Pty) Ltd is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced Level 3 Rope Access Technicians to join our team. The successful candidate will perform rope access work at height in accordance with approved procedures while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid IRATA Level 3 or SAQA-recognised Level 3 Rope Access Certificate.
• Minimum 3 years' proven rope access experience.
• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Medically fit to work at heights.
• Valid certificate of fitness for work at heights.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid South African driver's licence will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rope access work safely and efficiently.
• Install, inspect and maintain rope access systems.
• Conduct pre-use inspections of all rope access equipment.
• Follow approved work procedures and client specifications.
• Assist with rescue operations when required.
• Report hazards, incidents and unsafe conditions immediately.
• Complete daily work reports and inspection records.
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality and environmental requirements.
