Job description
SAFETY OFFICER – VACANCY
An EME is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join their team at Eskom Power Station – Drakensberg Pumped Storage.
Minimum Requirements
- SAMTRAC qualification.
- SACPCMP registration.
- 8 years’ relevant experience in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Proven experience in construction and/or engineering projects.
- Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation, regulations, and construction safety requirements.
- Experience in conducting site inspections, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety audits.
- Ability to monitor and enforce compliance with approved Health & Safety procedures and project requirements.
- Good communication, reporting, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required.

- Certified SAMTRAC certificate.
- Certified SACPCMP registration/certificate.
- Other relevant qualifications and certificates, certified within the last 3 months.
- Current payslip or expected salary.
