Safety Officer

We're looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and people-focused Safety Officer to help us create a workplace where safety isn't just a policy—it's part of our culture.

What we are looking for:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
• Basic knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Valid driver's license
• Good communication and report-writing skills
• Introduction to SAMTRAC or SAMTRAC (Advantageous)
• Health & Safety Representative Training
• First Aid Level 1
• Fire Fighting Training1–3 years' experience in manufacturing or industrial environments

What You’ll be doing:

• Conduct routine factory safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
• Monitor and enforce PPE compliance throughout the factory.
• Assist with incident, accident, and near-miss investigations.
• Conduct employee safety inductions and toolbox talks.
• Maintain safety records, registers, and compliance documentation.
• Support emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and equipment inspections.
• Promote a positive safety culture and safe working practices across the business.
