Job title: Construction Health & Safety Officer (CHSO), Short-Term Contract

Location: Emalahleni, Mpumalanga

Job type: Contract, temporary (approx. [8-10] working days)

About the job
We are looking for an experienced Construction Health and Safety Officer for a short-term contract on a construction site. You will make sure the work complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Construction Regulations 2014.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the site health and safety file and appointments register
Carry out site inductions and daily toolbox talks
Monitor working at height controls and fall protection
Check worker competency records and medical fitness certificates
Carry out daily site inspections and record findings
Report and investigate incidents and near misses
Liaise with the client's agent and the Department of Employment and Labour

Requirements

Current SACPCMP registration as a Construction Health and Safety Officer (CHSO) or higher. Please include your registration number
Recognised occupational health and safety qualification (e.g. SAMTRAC or Diploma/Certificate in OHS)
Minimum [3] years' construction health and safety experience
Working at height experience (advantage)
First Aid Level 1 or 2 (advantage)
Knowledge of the Construction Regulations 2014
Own transport (advantage)

Pay: R10 805,87 - R35 461,88 per month

Work Location: In person
