Job description
We run two of South Africa's most-loved city guides - What's On In Cape Town and What's On In Joburg - helping locals and tourists discover the best things to do, see, and experience across the Western Cape and Gauteng. Our sales team keeps the wheels turning behind hundreds of advertiser relationships, and we're looking for the right person to help keep it all running smoothly.
This isn't just an admin role. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys structure - who finds satisfaction in a well-organised spreadsheet, who likes meeting people and knowing exactly where every campaign and client stands, and who proactively spots ways to keep things running more efficiently. If you're someone who finds a tidy CRM as satisfying as a job well done, you're probably our person.
The role
We're a small, friendly, remote team with regular online check-ins. You'll be part of the sales team dealing with the nitty gritty of campaigns from initial contact all the way through to final reports. Most of the groundwork is in place - your job is to keep it organised, current, and moving. You'll develop and manage your own portfolio of clients, which will involve checking assets, scheduling campaigns, and knowing who is who and why each person matters. Over time, we'd love for you to bring your own ideas on how we can do this better.
What you'll be doing
Having regular check-ins with the sales team
Develop and manage a small portfolio of your own clients, including maintaining relationships with existing clients, driving new sales with them and managing their campaigns
Actively seeking new partnerships
Keeping the CRM database accurate and up to date
What we're looking for
Enthusiasm for and at least some experience in sales
Excellent organisational skills and a natural eye for detail
Engaging presentation of self and of work
A positive, can-do attitude and plenty of initiative
Eager to learn, with all training provided
A strong communicator (both spoken and written) and team player
Able to attend regular online meetings
Knowledge of Cape Town and/or Joburg
Hunger to learn and to earn
The details
Hours are flexible, but you need to be available Mon to Fri 8.45am to 4pm.
Remuneration is R7,000 to R9,000 per month, depending on experience. Commission structure negotiable
Start date: +/-1 August 2026.
