Job description

We are looking for an energetic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our food retail team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about great service, keeping shelves stocked, and making sure customers have an excellent shopping experience every day.

Key Responsibilities - Customer Service: Greet customers, assist with queries, and provide product recommendations -Sales & Merchandising: Maintain fully stocked shelves, neat displays, and correct pricing - Cashier Duties: Operate POS system, handle cash, card payments, and issue receipts accurately - Stock Control: Assist with receiving deliveries, checking stock, and rotating products with expiry dates - **Store Standards: Keep store, fridges, and checkout areas clean, tidy and compliant with food safety standards - **Promotions**: Support in-store promotions and ensure correct signage is displayed

Requirements

Experience: Previous retail or food retail experience preferred but not required — we will train the right person

Skills: Good communication, friendly attitude, basic math for cash handling

Knowledge: Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices is a plus -

Availability: Must be able to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts as required
