Superfoto Canal Walk is looking for a Sales Assistant who loves helping customers, enjoys a busy retail environment and takes pride in delivering great service.

If you're the kind of person who naturally greets customers with a smile, enjoys solving problems, and doesn't hide in the storeroom when the shop gets busy, we'd love to meet you.

What we're looking for:

• Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics. Yes, you will be expected to count.
• At least 2 years' experience in a customer-facing retail position.
• A positive attitude and excellent people skills.
• Above average computer skills...because that's the job. Yes, a lot of it is just copy/paste/save/print, but we don't want to have to teach you those basics, so know your way around a PC...or keep scrolling.
• You need to be an exceptionally fast learner. You will be shown how to do things, but you are expected to remember it and not ask us the same thing over and over again.
• Honest, reliable and punctual.
• Able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Bonus points if you:

• Have worked in photography, printing, electronics or a similar retail environment.
• Can stay calm when there's a queue at the till and three customers asking different questions at the same time.
• Enjoy learning about new products and sharing that knowledge with customers.

What you'll be doing:

• Helping customers find exactly what they need.
• Processing sales accurately.
• Keeping the store looking great.
• Assisting with stock receiving and replenishment.
• Being part of a team that genuinely enjoys providing excellent customer service.
• And working on PC's...a lot.

A few things we're not looking for:

• Someone who thinks "customer service" means pointing at the shelf.
• Someone who spends more time on their phone than helping customers.
• Someone who believes "I'll do it later" is a productivity strategy.
• And if you're still learning the basics on a computer...then this won't be for you.

Your skills will be tested before you are given the position.

Pay: R35,00 - R40,00 per hour
