Sales Assistant: Retail vetshop - Gardens and Kenilworth

At ABOUT CATS AND DOGS we are passionate about people and pets and dedicated to providing the best products and services for our furry friends and their owners.

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic, meticulous, honest and reliable team member to achieve growth in our Gardens and Kenilworth branches**,** and help us deliver excellent customer service to pet lovers.

*Assist customers in finding the right products for their cats and dogs.

*Provide knowledgeable advice on pet care, nutrition, and product selection.

*Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including stocking shelves and arranging displays.

*Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system.

*Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns with a positive attitude.

*Perform stock-taking duties and ensure accurate inventory counts.

*Assist with purchase orders and coordinate receiving stock deliveries.

*Perform administrative tasks.

*Daily cash-ups and banking.

*Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and promotions to assist customers effectively.

*Assist with inventory management, including receiving and organizing stock.

Requirements:

*Passionate about people AND domestic animals and a strong understanding of pet care.

*Previous retail experience in the pet or veterinary industry is preferred

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in English and Afrikaans

*Computer skills (Word, Excel, G-mail, Numerical skills).

*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

*Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.

*Good administrative skills and familiarity with inventory systems.

*Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

*Must be able to lift and carry up to 20kg.

*Matric

* Warmth and friendliness must come standard, with a strong personality but not bossy or intimidating

*Reside in the ROBERTSON

*Healthy

*Reliable transport
