Sales Assistant - Steel/Aluminium/Stainless Steel/Hardware Industry – George

Steel & Pipes George is one of the largest suppliers in George and surrounding areas of all steel tubing products plus a wide range of first grade steel, Aluminium, Stainless Steel and hardware products, we are a Steel Merchant - wholesaler and sell direct to the public.

We are looking for a driven individual with a passion for customer service and engage with consumers in a professional and empathetic demeaner to build a sense of comfort and trust

Sales Assistant Duties:

• Greeting customers when they enter the store or department and offering assistance
• Determining customer needs and recommending products to fit them
• Answering questions about products and services
• Informing customers about sales, promotions and policies
• Demonstrating how products work to encourage sales
• Stocking merchandise and creating displays to maintain the appearance of the sales floor
• Taking inventory on a periodic basis

Sales Assistant Qualifications:

• The minimum Requirement is a Senior Certificate
• Min 5 years’ experience in a customer-facing role in a hardware sales environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers in both Afrikaans and English
• High energy, self-motivated, self-directed person who is able to focus on multiple projects and activities simultaneously
• Ability to work proficiently independently as well as in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-up practices and the aptitude to learn quickly

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R7 500,00 - R8 500,00 per month
