Sales Assistants

We are currently seeking for motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistants to support day-to-day sales activities and help deliver an excellent customer experience. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people, building product knowledge, and contributing to a team that is focused on achieving sales goals and maintaining high service standards.

As a Sales Assistant, you will play an important part in supporting customer interactions, promoting products and services, and ensuring the sales environment is welcoming, organised, and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers professionally and provide friendly, helpful service
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products or services
• Support the sales process from initial customer engagement through to finalising purchases
• Maintain strong knowledge of products, promotions, and sales offers
• Assist in meeting individual and team sales targets
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and basic complaints in a professional manner
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Keep the sales floor, displays, and promotional areas clean, organised, and well presented
• Monitor stock levels and report low or missing inventory
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and arranging stock when needed
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to support daily sales operations
• Contribute to a positive team environment and consistently represent the company in a professional manner

Requirements

• Previous experience in a sales, retail, customer service, or similar role is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence in speaking with customers and promoting products or services
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Basic numeracy and ability to handle transactions accurately
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• A professional attitude with a customer-first approach
• Willingness to learn and develop sales skills
• Ability to work on-site in Pretoria, South Africa
• Flexibility to work scheduled hours, including weekends or public holidays if required

Nice to Have

• Experience working toward sales targets
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems or cash handling
• Product merchandising or stock control experience
• Additional local language skills relevant to the customer base
