Your Purpose...
- Is to “change people’s lives for the better through wellness”;
- We deliver social wellness experiences that enable people to meet their personal wellness goals, through holistic physical, mental nutritional and social wellbeing.
Your Duties and Responsibilities...
Sales Conversion & Performance
- Turn conversations into memberships through confident, structured, and value-led selling techniques
Apply the full sales process (needs analysis tour price presentation* close) to maximise conversion
- Recommend the best membership options based on each prospect’s goals and lifestyle
- Consistently achieve and exceed monthly sales targets (units and revenue)
- Maintain strong conversion ratios across leads, appointments, tours, and sales
Lead Generation & Pipeline Management
- Proactively generate leads through walk-ins, referrals, outreach, corporate opportunities, and local activations
- Build and maintain a healthy, active sales pipeline
- Capture and track all leads accurately within the Leads Management System (LMS)
- Create daily activity to ensure a consistent flow of opportunities
Follow-Up & Relationship Management
- Follow up promptly and consistently on all leads, enquiries, and prospects
- Use multiple channels (calls, WhatsApp, email) to nurture prospects through the decision journey
- Build trust and long-term relationships that drive both conversion and referrals
Brand & Experience Delivery
- Deliver a high-energy, engaging, and professional customer experience at every touchpoint
- Represent the Virgin Active brand through Unreasonable Hospitality and attention to detail
- Create a positive, welcoming environment that encourages prospects to imagine themselves as members
Team Collaboration & Club Performance
- Collaborate with Sales Managers, Experience teams, and Personal Trainers to maximise opportunities
- Contribute to overall club performance and Net Member Movement
- Share best practices, support teammates, and actively participate in training and coaching sessions
Our Minimum Requirements...

- Formal Matric qualification (essential)
- 1-2 years of successful sales experience within a similar industry, e.g., retail, hospitality, or wellness.
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills
- Digital acumen, with practical experience in using the Microsoft suite.
- Proven experience in delivering premium standards of service
- Must be able to work the required roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Be an active ambassador for holistic wellness

Operational & leadership Skills Required:

- Resilience and Composure, being able to remain calm and optimistic under extreme pressure, during peak periods or system failures
- Problem solving and conflict resolution – be able to turn challenges into opportunities by thinking and acting quickly to resolve issues before they impact a member’s experience
- Adaptability: be flexible to handle unpredictable shifts in processers, resource changes, last-minute VIP guest arrivals, or sudden changes in event plans.
- Relatability – the capacity to connect with diverse stakeholders across all backgrounds
- Situational Awareness – constantly monitoring the environment to identify members who need support or help
- Curiosity- the ability to seek out and transform standard transactions into personalized stories and memorable experiences
- Time Management – the ability to efficiently meet stringent deadlines while maintaining a relaxed and unhurried demeanor for guests.
- Digital Fluency – must be proficient in new age technology and systems.
