Contractor Role Overview

ClassTutor is looking for a Sales Agent to support the growth of its online tuition services by speaking with prospective parents, following up on enquiries, and helping families understand the value of ClassTutor’s programmes.

This is a contractor role. The Sales Agent will be responsible for managing their own time and working arrangements, while ensuring that the agreed services are delivered in line with the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

The Sales Agent will provide sales and customer follow-up services, including:

• Contacting prospective parents and customers by phone, WhatsApp, email, or other agreed communication channels.
• Explaining ClassTutor’s tuition services clearly and professionally.
• Following up with leads who have shown interest in ClassTutor.
• Supporting prospective parents through the enrolment process.
• Recording updates accurately on the agreed CRM, tracker, or business system.
• Providing regular updates on lead progress, customer responses, and sales outcomes.
• Managing follow-ups in a timely manner to maximise conversion opportunities.
• Representing ClassTutor professionally in all customer communications.
• Raising any customer concerns, objections, or service questions with the relevant team.
• Working towards agreed sales targets, conversion goals, or service outcomes where applicable.

Working Arrangement

This is a self-employed contractor role. The Sales Agent will manage their own hours and method of working, provided that the services are delivered effectively and in line with ClassTutor’s business needs.

The role may require availability during key periods when parents are most likely to respond, including evenings or weekends, depending on lead activity and business requirements.

Skills and Experience

The ideal contractor will have:

• Previous experience in sales, customer service, telesales, or lead conversion.
• Strong communication skills and a confident phone manner.
• The ability to build trust with parents and explain services clearly.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage follow-ups independently.
• A professional and reliable approach to customer communication.
• The ability to record information accurately and follow agreed processes.
• An interest in education, tuition, or student progress.

Contractor Expectations

The Sales Agent will be expected to:

• Deliver the agreed services with reasonable skill, care, and professionalism.
• Manage their own schedule while ensuring that leads are followed up promptly.
• Keep accurate records of work carried out and customer interactions.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding customer data, business processes, pricing, and internal systems.
• Comply with ClassTutor’s reasonable policies relating to data protection, safeguarding, customer communication, and system use.
• Provide invoices or records of services in line with the agreed payment terms.
• This role is offered on a contractor basis. The contractor is responsible for managing their own tax, national insurance, equipment, working arrangements, and availability, subject to the agreed service requirements.

Pay: R12 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
