Job description
Position: Sales Development Representative
Salary: 20,000 - 25,000 ZAR per month
Working Hours & Conditions: Aligned with UK hours; full-time - remote
OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a confident, commercially sharp Telesales Executive who can turn a cold conversation into a live opportunity. You will be the first voice many future customers hear, spotting real delivery, logistics, ecommerce, storage, and fulfilment needs before handing the best opportunities to our Business Development Managers.
This is a pure prospecting and lead-generation role. Your job is to create momentum: make the calls, ask smart questions, qualify properly, and keep every opportunity moving. Progression will be there for the right candidate to run a team and close the sale over the phone.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Make consistent outbound calls to new business prospects.
- Build, refresh, and work targeted prospect lists across both courier brands.
- Uncover pain points around delivery, fulfilment, logistics, storage, and service reliability.
- Ask the right questions, qualify the opportunity, and capture the commercial detail that matters.
- Book appointments, generate quote requests, and create sales-ready handovers for the BDM team.
- Keep CRM records accurate, complete, and updated the same day.
- Follow up quickly, professionally, and persistently so warm opportunities do not go cold.
WHAT YOU WILL BE SELLING:
- Brand A:
-
- Same day, dedicated delivery, contract logistics, two-man delivery, pallets, and urgent transport.
- Brand B:
-
- Ecommerce fulfilment, pick and pack, storage, UK next day, international, and B2B fulfilment.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A confident phone manner and the resilience to keep going when the first answer is no.
- Strong listening skills, natural curiosity, and the judgement to spot a real opportunity.
- A target-driven mindset with pride in quality, not just volume.
- Clear written notes, tidy CRM discipline, and strong follow-through.
- A professional style that represents the client properly.
- Experience in telesales, lead generation, courier, logistics, ecommerce, or B2B sales would be valuable.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
- You are having strong decision-maker conversations every week.
- Your handovers are accepted because they are complete, relevant, and commercially useful.
- BDMs trust your notes, your judgement, and your next-step discipline.
- Prospects feel listened to, followed up, and matched to the right service.
- The pipeline is stronger because of the opportunities you create.
THE PERSON WHO WILL THRIVE HERE:
You like the chase, but you are not a script reader. You can open a conversation, think on your feet, and quickly work out whether there is a genuine business need. You are organised, competitive, and comfortable being measured on activity, quality, and conversion. Most of all, you enjoy creating opportunities that give the wider sales team something real to work with. Being greedy will help as there is uncapped commission after your trial.
