Sales Development Representative / SDR (Contract) — Qualikor
Location: South Africa (Remote)
Type: Contract (4–6 week initial trial, potential to extend)
Compensation: Base - R20,000 (per month) + Bonus - R1000 - per qualified meeting booked and held

About Qualikor

Qualikor provides enterprise-grade test automation delivered as a subscription. We design, build, run, and maintain automated testing for engineering teams, so they can ship faster with confidence. We work with engineering leaders at growing tech companies who are struggling with flaky tests, slow releases, and the cost/scarcity of hiring QA automation engineers in-house.

The Role

We're looking for a sharp, persistent appointment setter to help us book qualified discovery calls with engineering leaders at target companies. You won't be closing deals — your job is to identify the right people, reach out (via LinkedIn, email, and/or phone), qualify their interest, and get a meeting on the calendar for our founder to run.

This is a trial engagement to start (4–6 weeks). If it works well for both sides, there's a clear path to an ongoing role with increased responsibility and earnings.

What You'll Do

  • Research and build lists of target companies matching our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
  • Reach out to VPs of Engineering, Heads of QA, and Directors of Platform/Engineering via LinkedIn, email, and cold calling
  • Qualify prospects against a clear checklist before booking (company fit, budget signal, authority, real pain point, timing)
  • Book qualified meetings directly into our calendar.
  • Keep clean, accurate records in our CRM of who was contacted, outcomes, and follow-ups.
  • Report weekly on outreach volume, response rates, and meetings booked
  • Iterate on messaging based on what's getting replies — you'll have a say in improving the pitch.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in B2B outbound sales, SDR, or appointment-setting roles — ideally selling to technical or engineering audiences, or at a similar deal size (£10k+ monthly/annual contract value)
  • Confident, professional communicator — comfortable emailing, messaging, and cold-calling senior decision-makers
  • Strong written English (spelling, grammar, professional tone) — this is non-negotiable given who we're contacting
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM tools (HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar), and outbound email tools
  • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal oversight, and is comfortable with a performance-based structure
  • Bonus: experience selling into software/engineering/QA/DevOps buyers, or familiarity with concepts like CI/CD, automated testing, or SaaS subscription sales

Working Hours

Must be able to work hours that substantially overlap with UK and EU business hours (9am–5:30pm GMT/BST / CET/CEST) for live outreach, calls, and coordination
