Sales Engineer – Applied HVAC Systems (Chilled Water Specialist)
We are seeking a highly technical, relationship-driven Sales Engineer specialising in chilled water systems to drive growth across our applied HVAC equipment portfolio.
Your primary focus will be on the engineering and sales of large-scale water chillers, air handling units (AHUs), and packaged units.
Your mission is twofold: secure our equipment as the "basis of design" with consulting engineers, and close equipment sales with commercial and industrial mechanical contractors and end-users.
This role requires a deep understanding of central plant dynamics, psychrometrics, and
hydronic system optimisation, bridging the gap between complex engineering concepts
and commercial execution.
Requirements & qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related
technical field. Equivalent extensive industry experience with hydronic/applied
systems will be considered.
- Experience: 3–5+ years of proven success in technical sales within the
commercial or industrial HVAC industry, with a direct focus on chilled water
systems (water-cooled/air-cooled chillers and central AHUs).
- Technical proficiency: Strong command of fluid dynamics, psychrometrics,
refrigeration cycles, and central plant configurations. Proficiency with HVAC
selection software is required.
- Network: An existing network of consulting engineers, mechanical contractors,
and industrial/commercial facility managers in the target territory is highly
advantageous.
- Sales Acumen: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to navigate long, complex commercial construction sales cycles
(often 6 to 18 months).
- Travel: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the designated
territory for engineering consultations and site visits.
